Billing Frustrations

It is absurd that in 2023 the billing practices and website for NES Power make it so difficult to pay a bill easily and without additional fees, to see history of bills and payments, or to set up auto pay with confidence and reliability about what the payments (and fees or lack thereof) will be.

Power has been out 8 times this year so far

Service has turned into complete garbage. This is in Antioch, TN.

My electricity has been out 8 times this year so far. Thats once a month on average. And by outage I mean out longer than a few minutes because if you include times when it has temporarily dropped at all, that jumps the total to around 18 times this year so far. Reporting an outage is pointless.

Even when there are no storms in the area, power will drop. I cant stress enough how completely useless they have become.

Id pay double the rates for service from another company. Pray that you never have to deal with this garbage excuse-for-electricity company.

Preferred solution: Out of NES’s service area. There is no solution if you have to use their service. They are the worst electric company in the entire country

Within 15 minutes of contacting you NES was here fixing my issues!! So very pleased!!! Evidently I have a lug going out where my meter is, but I have been restored to full power!!

Tree down hot electric line on ground behind my house

I am not a pissed consumer. I just wanted to let someone at NES know a tree has fallen and knocked an electric line down and I assume it is hot because it burned the pole and it likely VERY DANGEROUS.

It's Christmas Eve 2022. I am on a fixed income and my power was shut off by a supposed Rolling Blackout. I need my power and the wind chill is below zero I would wager the CEO is sleeping comfortably

If I could rate zero, I would. Where do I start? They guesstimate your bills, charge late fees for their mistakes, the customer service reps are nice but have no idea how to competently do their jobs, supervisors evade dealing with complaints but their the only ones who can approve certain things and the list goes on. Its a complete monopoly over the city and its def time someone come in and provide an alternate option. I despise this company.

Nashville Electric Service - Trying to get new service for commercial property
So far today I have spent an hour and 45 minutes on hold have been able to talk to 3 different ladies and not a one could do the order, Each one transferred me to someone else that could not get a ticket for this order,,,electric company monopoly just look at the reviews, I'm a commercial property for Christs sake they should be able to do this after all how many businesses are in Nashville ,so have been writing this while on hold and someone else answered ( that's4 ),,,,,,SHE COULDN'T HELP ME EITHER

Aggravated with frequent power outages during rainstorms.

Why does the power seem to go out so frequently during rainstorms lately? It didn't use to do that. Now, if I so much as hear distant thunder or see a flash of lightening, I get the flashlight! I would think as big as NES is, it would have figured out how to prevent that by now! I am not trying to be nasty...just tired of it! I live in the Lavergne, TN area. Thank you.

Downed lines and live wires plus no water for 5 days

Our lines have been down since Sunday. No power no water(well) Have called over and over. Teka was so responsive and easy to talk to . She was amazing and hopefully will be able to get our issues solved

I live bessmercity n.c.ive had a company NES truck pull up my driveway 3 times today and some guy buy the name of Stewart Fowler is threaten people and asking them to come out the road to fight I'm bout to take warrant at Cleveland county courthouse in shelby n.c. if this happens I will hold NES completely responsible if any thing happens to anyone in my family

Field personnel don’t have the same info as the automated system

No power for 5 days. No problem being last few of 130k plus, someone has to be. But when the NES truck came by my house a metro supervisor doing work on the road the last few weeks stop them and said here is the house your looking for. They discussed my power line laying in the yard but added well this house isnt on the list. However, I am on the outage map - I send STAT hourly for status updates and it tells me they are working on it. NES I knew you were the worst at updating your customers - I just didnt think your field employees were kept in the dark as well. 5 days with out power and counting - wish I could talk to a live person.

There's a reason you can't talk to a live person. This person can't do anything for you and that resource is best used for something other than listening to you demanding to speak to the "magic manager." Look, power restoration is a process.

Priorities are first. Afterward, the greatest good for the most people per action is next.

You'll be alright. 5 days is nothing unless you're a jelly....

Gat call aervice restored...it is not.. meter number 017016.

I got a call b4 7 am saying service was restored but it wasn't. Friend in Antioch had same call before 6am and her service was off. Finally was able to get a body...hate hate hate your automated line... was told had a problem with the automated return caller... service was finally restored. Understood was overwhelmed with so much damage but calls made that were true added fuel to the problem. Thanks to the hard working guys n gals.

I have a problem with the power coming into my home and was trying to contact a real person to find out what I need to know. I called customer service, was on hold for several minutes and elected to hold rather than leave a message. I eventually was automatically transferred to leave a message. I still have not spoken to a real person and have no answers.

Trump charges for broken meter

They trump charges because of broken meters that u have no clie about, then guesstimate the charges for the bill, based off of last year, but this year your entire household has changed, but the bill is higher now. I have 2 NES bills in one to pay. But they did me a favor by giving the amount i dont really owe, a long arrangement, making every bill higher each month going in to gas bill season. You guys are evil, no heart, liars, and trump charges on single family households that pay their bills. I will not stop until everyone knows what u guys did to us!
