Having lived in Smyrna, Murfreesboro, and now LA *** I have never received such poor service from any other power company. My husband and just bought this house in May and now it's October and there have been more outages in these last few months than I had ever experienced in the last 6 years with other companies. First a "power outage" on a clear day, then, more than once you shut my power off "by mistake" now (although i pay on time every month) you shut it off saying i owe almost $500 in late fees. What late fees?! The ones that weren't even there last month? The magical ever elusive late fee somehow slipped in unnoticed until it was almost $500? I have a baby that needs air conditioning and food that needs refrigerated. I'm sick of your mistakes... Read more

Kune, July & August 2016)In the last 2 months my lights are going off every week, they are off now August 5th 2016 but in the last 7 days this is the 4th time they have went out. This has become more than an inconvenience it's just wrong. Why is the power going off so much? Seems like it rains they are out again. My power went out at app 830pm 7/8/16. It is still out at 715am this morning. I want to know if n e s is going to credit my account. And please dont tell me i fidnt use any electricity while power was off! That should be totally unacceptable for N. E. S. but of course this is Saturday morning and wouldnt dare think that the guys out in field are so busy that not only do they FINNALLY get things up and running. But the BOSSES could get off... I agree with the other lady on the previous statement why wont our so called government step up. I came home and my power was off so what the news said the heat index would be 103. This is crazy they couldn"t have waited on a rain drop ? Oh maybe because they thought I would be granted a wish the next morning for a new service provider ! NES is a flat out monopoly! Why has the federal government not stepped in, we are all forced customers...we have Zero options for power besides NES... These people are rude, you can hardly ever get them on the phone..and when you do they talk down to us like we are ghetto trash! They do not send any type of correspondence via mail...and are quick to cut off power to homes even during the holidays...this happened to us, we paid our bill...yet... Read more

I recently went to pay my bill online and their web portal took way over the amount i was planning to pay, i immeadiatly called my card company less then a minute after it happened and they quickly said the company NES already took the money so then i called NES who advised me that i would need to wait two business days for them to issue a refund, so i did. I started documenting all power outages at my address since 2014: 5/29/2014 8:40 - 9:40 pm 10/26/2014 9:00 - 10:45 am 10/29/2014 9:00 - 10:30 am 1/11/2015 8:07 - 8:50 pm 7/22/2015 5:54 - 6:37 pm 8/21/2015 5:20 - 7:30 am All these happened during PERFECT weather. Had a temporary hookup while renovating a house. Had the service put in. Get a bill two months later saying the temp meter wasn't there when they came to connect permanent service, Huh? I'm going to risk my life to steal a meter? And it was sitting on the ground after they left. Then to make matters worse, they never stopped the temp service and are charging me another 6 weeks of service on it. They say I had to call and stop. Huh?! They... Read more
